Kelsey is a Emmy Award-winning reporter in her hometown of Minneapolis where she finds the best stories to be from the people around her doing amazing things.

She also has plenty of practice working under pressure. That's because on top of being a reporter Kelsey is a paramedic, which has come in handy keeping a cool head in her news career.

She has been the lead reporter on two school campus shootings, a historic snow storm and a handful of wildfires. She is known for landing big interviews and nearly got an outright confession during a national sought-after jailhouse interview. Kelsey also uncovered unethical practices within a state department, which led to a new state congressional committee.

She's currently a reporter at KSTP 5 Eyewitness News in the Twin Cities. Before working in Minnesota, she worked for FOX 5 San Diego and KMTR in Eugene, Oregon. She was also a traffic reporter at TTWN for Seattle radio stations.

Before starting her career in news, she worked as a paramedic for the Mayo Clinic for three years. Kelsey also worked as a medic during her free time outside of reporting in Oregon.

She studied paramedicine at HCMC along with journalism and global studies at the University of Minnesota.

During her time as a Gopher, Kelsey was a health reporter and photographer for the Minnesota Daily. She also spent time in Mongolia creating local English news at Channel 1 News International.

She interned for WCCO, KARE11, CCX Media and Gov. Mark Dayton.
When she isn’t chasing a story, you can find Kelsey shopping at a local antique store or playing tennis.
